I have no experience with DS equipment, all I know is that it is VERY expensive kit. The RNLI use thier stuff, and I know that Icom have examples of thier equipment on thier exhibition stand.

I have, on recomendation from an OCR crew, today ordered a system from Tecstar called the Starcom 1 - have a look at thier website - www.starcom1.com or www.tecstar.co.uk, I should have it all very soon, and if you want to come over and have a look (I'm linking it to a 601 in the race boat) you'd be welcome!

DS Developments stuff is top notch and very much top dollar. I have a DS Developments waterproof VHF box and speaker on my boat and I know it costs loads.

Not sure when Bluetooth is going to make it into intercoms or VHF mikes but that is what I would wait for. Or look on Maplin or RS Components for a motor bike set with a noise cancelling facility.

Cheers

Mark

Why don't you ask Starcom? See links above for contact details!

Besides there are so many different configurations, you have to compare like with like .............

We deal we both companies here.

We go way back with DS Dev.
As all have said it is top kit there for top price.
Bit like us

I went up and meet the guy's at Techstar/Starcom the other week.
They know their stuff.

They have put a lot of their kit into F1 boats and Honda FS.
Seems to do the job well and I understand is waterproof too.

Which ever way you go Dave both will interface with the M601.

Regards
