Connect gps to dsc

Can anyone help!! New radio fitted now need to know which friggin wires to connect,radio only has red and black and GPS has all the colours of the rainbow

When you say only red and black do you mean for the data or the power?

You need to connect the blue nmea out wire from the GPS to the nmea in on the radio. You will also want to ensure that grounds are connected together.

You may have to set the BAUD rates on both devices to the same. You may even have to tell the GPS to "send" the data - just one to check if the link doesn't work straight off.

On my Garmin GPS to Icom VHF - the Icom has a coax cable connected as follows
Blue garmin to inner core ICom outer core to common ground
