Changing MMSI on Icom M505

Has anyone experience of changing the MMSI number on an Icom M505 Raidio.

I am switching ribs and would like to take the old radio.

Do I need to use a dealer??

Tanks.

The blurb I have from Icom says it has to go back to them for an MMSI change

From the Icom 505 manual...

MMSI code programming
The 9-digit MMSI code can be programmed at power ON. This code programming can only be performed once...

You either need to return it to Icom or a dealer who has the necessary software and lead.
