Bravo ICOM

I had an intermittant fault wit my ICOM 'mounted reciever', which is NOT a good idea! Anyway got hold of the factory and although I've had the unit for a couple of years and did not register for the extended warrantyThey never the less, sorted it in under a week, and at no charge!Good service boys! Thankyou

RIBase
To get back on post!!
I to have had great service from ICOM beyond what would have been expected, certainly revamped my faith in the 'big' companies.

ha ha, splendid!! back to the Icom Thing, ive had quite a few new units and yes i know their customer service is great but its the hassle of them going wrong in the first place. Ive had 4 all new ones going down, ranging from faulty micro switch in the mike to faults showing up on screen and power packs inside blowing even though correct rating of fuse was used. oh and i sent a 411 back once which was not transmitting.came back fault unknown, replacement was sent out accordingly

Trying the Garmin 100 now, the one thats really easy to link to the GPS.

Think you've just had bad luck there, I've had several Icoms over many years and never had a single fault on any of them.
