battery 3 way switch

Help!

How do I wire 2 batteries up to a 3 way switch?
The terminals on the 3way switch are marked (batt1) (batt2) (feeder)

with 2 small terminals that I have been told i do not use as my 4 stroke engine has an alternator

the dial on the switch reads 1 1+2 2 0

A diagram would be appreciated if any one can help

hi Tue

On your diagram If they are all positive wires that is the way I wired it with the negative battery terminals joined and the negative from the engine on one of the batteries When I tried it I had no power anywhere on any circuit or starter switch

Where am i going wrong

On the original single battery there was a main positive wire and a main negative wire plus a smaller neg and pos wire going to the fuse box

Ok. Have a look at this one. If it were me I would join all the earth leads at a central point then run one to the engine from there.

NOTE. Where it says fuse means fuse box not a fuse!
