Their watch list just fills me with confidence

I've never seen a Harbour Master out with his scanner checking boats, also how close does he need to be with the scanner as it could take a while to check a 9m rib

Have you ever had to get anything recovered that has been found with a tracker, as the police support is not what it could be on some caravan sites

O2 PAYG Simply on the basis that our mobiles/house alarm/garage alarm are on O2 Contract/PAYG. No other science involved...

Just got mine, using O2 PAYG SIM.

Can't seem to get my phone authorised - tried calling unit repeatedly, but it's still working in "no authorised phone" mode. Bugger....

Any thoughts (apart from me being a technical illiterate of course!!)

Mike

Is it a clone or the real thing?

Where did you buy it from? If you bought it off eBay be prepared for some disappointment. They work up to a point, but there are faults and instabilities

Have you called it 10 times per the instructions from the phone you want to authorise?

The manual for the real thing says on page 11, paragraph 5.6.1:

"Call the Tracker 10 times. It (The Tracker) will make the cell phone number (the phone you are using to call the Tracker) as the authorised number". (Words in brackets are mine for clarity)

The manual for the clone says on page 11, paragraph 5.6:

"There are only 5 numbers able to be authorised.
5.6.1. Call the tracker for 10 times, it wil make the cell phone number as the authorised number automatically."

The difference in the wording between the manuals should help you identify if it's a clone or the real thing.

Hope this helps
