With Lowrance, you need to select the map data. Probably the same on yours.

from what I remember of the one I had the C map just went in and it worked, end of story. Except that the waterproof unit didnt do light rain, heavy rain or anything at all dampish. Saw sense in the end and binned it! Shame really as it was a nice display, trouble was a bit of rain and it would go off on a mission through all the charts in its memory...except the one where you happened to be. Best of luck with it

I have an old Navman and a number of C-map cartridges. Maps appear automatically when cartridge is plugged in (just lets you magnify basic charts/more detail for area covered by cartridge) , however i also have two blank cartridges which always read ' Not formatted' but will not let me format them. As they came free I have never bothered to find a solution.

Your 8120 unit takes C-Max format cards. Are you sure that the card which you have isn't NT+ format? The two formats are, I believe, incompatible on most (all?) units

You'll find the gen here: Plastimo - Navman : C-Map Format

it is unclear from the website which type of card you have bought. I suggest that you go back to the seller and ask. There should be no problem exchanging it if you've got the wrong one: they seem to cost the same.
