Another plaudit for Garmin
I emailed the support at Garmin because, after reading the appropriate thread on here, I figured I needed a software upgrade on my GPSMAP 182 to get the tide tables to work. I wanted to know how to do it with respect to the cabling etc.
I thought I was going to have to demount it from the boat, bring it home, buy some PC to GPS cables, get power to the unit (god knows how), download it from the internet, try to upload it etc etc.
The nice lady at garmin gave me a data card with the software upgrade on it. All I have to do it plug it in to my GPS without taking it off the boat. Fantastic!
This is the third time I have had excellent service from Garmin I can not say enough good things about them.
