Yamaha throtle control box

Having got fed up of only getting 22Kts from the Mariner 50 I bought a yamaha 80 on Monday night, only problem is it had no throttle control box or cable to connect it to the engine, can anyone suggest where I can get one from? There is one advertised on Boats & Outboards but the seller does not reply to emails

Try phoning him!

They do come up quite often on ebay. Yamaha 703. There are at least two different types, some have 'pull to open' throttle and others 'push to open'

I may have one of these for sale. It's a 703 (I think!) with 2 keys, it has a seperate choke switch, and is in good condition, with the exception of the little plastic panel that pushes into the side of the throttle lever (and covers the PTT wires) which has gone missing.

How much is it worth? It's with my engine at the moment, so I don't know if it's a good plan to split them!

But, I've sold the rib seperate to the engine, so I could do things bit by bit...

There are two types, one doesn't have trim and tilt so make sure you are buying the right one before bidding on e bay.

Thanks everyone for your help. I have bought one from the States that was on the list Alt posted. They have quoted 3-5 days delivery.
Thanks again.
