yamaha power trim cap spanner

does anyone know where i can get a good quality pin spanner to remove the yamaha trim caps (or loan of one). Don't want to butcher the new ones unnecessarily. Any help appreciated. Cheers.

Could you modify a spanner from an angle grinder to make a suitable spanner? This worked for me on etec

to be honest i'd rather use the proper tool if possible, less likely to make a mess of the job. Cheers.

Pin spanners commonly used with angle grinders & other tools. Adjustable ones are available but I don't know if something like that would serve your purpose?

If you watch this you will understand why it has to be something substantial to remove the old caps, normally have to use a long extension bar to get it moving!

Correct, will probably get the local dealer to whip them off for me if i can't get the correct spanner. Simple job made difficult without the right tools!

booked into main dealer, about £60 for the cap change and although it doesn't need it i'm getting them to do the seals at the same time. Cheers.
