Yamaha gauge warning symbul

Could anybody tell me what the symbul that looks abit like a automatic transmission sign on my yamaha digital multifunction gauge that does trim, revs and hours mean. the sign has started to flash three or four times then rest then flash again.would really like to get to the bottom of this as it is a worry.

depending how many times it flashes and in what sequence it tells you that the engine management has detected a problem...you need to contact a dealer who an tell you.
our work rib has it going off all the time : mostly for the neutral start switch which seems to go wrong once the cables stretch a little

the main two are oil and temp and they are on the bottom section which have a bar for each and also audiable alarms so hopefully its nothing too serious for you

Thankyou for your reply Behavin that makes me feel abit easier when i first see it i panicked but had along way to go, every thing seems to run fine, all sounds as it should. I will count the flashes and time and do as you say cheers.

I agree the flashes are in different sequences and you need to know the number of flashes and sequence for the Yam dealer to tell you the fault or repair
