I've heard that they have a lot of problems and almost always spontaneously self-destruct at 150 hrs... how many have yours done?

25 and as sweat as you could imagine.....These were taken back off the shelf
by yamaha and had new software put in. Some perople in the states are at at 300+ hours and no probs. Come and try one day.

I would suggest going with the suzuki 250's. We have about 30 different charter companies in my area. Most of these companies are switching to the suzukis. If you choose to go with the verados I would suggest going with the 275's. Reason being that you can then run the at a lower rpm and achieve better fuel consumption, as well as the engines will not be working as hard.
