Yamaha F250 WOT rpm 6100

I have a 26ft boat with a yamaha F250 4 strokes and a TURNING POINT EXPRESS props 14 1/4 x 17 I think is this the link http://boatpropellers.iboats.com/Tur...ellers/E-1417/
I reach 6100 rpm at WOT...is this correct or it is too much?
My top speed is between 40.3 to 40.7 mph what do you think about?
Actually my propeller slip is about 17%.. too high?
I can try a 19 props or a 4 blades?
I think to try a Vensura 4 blades same pitch? or a Revolution 4? but with a 17" Revolution I think I will loose too much RPM ..
or can I try with an original Yamaha Reliance 3 blades 19 pitch?
thank you for the help

if the rpm is hig at wot i think you should get a higher pitched prop it its low you need a lower pitched prop i think??
could be wrong but i thought thats how it went
6100 does seem high at only 40mph I get 40mph at 5300 wot on a 75 mariner

Yep add some pitch. At least 19 if not 20. You want to be around ~5500 at WOT with that engine.

Unless you have issues with holeshot or cavitation, don't bother switching to a 4 blader.

We had an F250 serviced recently and we discussed engine revs and Yam dealer considered that the engine should run at Max 57-5900 .
