Yamaha Element Separator

Does anyone know if its ok to use the Yamaha part number YMM-2E227-01 with a diesel engine? It was purchased for my HPDI outboards but I no longer have them.
Thanks

I know they sell different canisters for gas and diesel engines, but I have no idea what the differences are.

Considering you are protecting some pretty pricey mechanical things, I'd say it's not worth the risk to save a few bucks (or Euro's or Pounds or whatever.)
