Yamaha 55hp

Hi there,
I am needing help with this particular engine. I cannot find a manual for it and i need to know what ratio it would be. All i know is that there is the letter L on the serial plate as i would like to know how old this is.

gear ratio 1.85to1 or 1.71to1, fuel mix 50to1.
