Yamaha 50hp carbs wanted....help

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have a set of three carbs to fit the later grey coloured two stroke three cylinder 2 stroke yamaha outboards with manual choke please??????????

I have been on the look out for a set of these for about two years now and have built up quite a selection of carbs now (earlier blue Yamaha outboard carbs are different, trust me I have 2 sets of these)

I think the models changed from blue to grey in the early nineties, I have a complete rebuilt 50hp Yamaha but the carbs were taken off to be stripped and cleaned because the engine had been stored since rebuild and then the previous owner died and the carbs were not recovered from whoever was stripping them.

The engine came from the Isle Of White so if you have the carbs I will buy them from you.

Kind Regards
Howy

If they were actually being refurbished on the IOW, then Bembridge outboards might be worth a call.

Other than that, I phoned a guy with an Ebay shop the other day who is stripping loads of old outboards at the moment, and only puts a small selection of parts in his listings. He was very helpful and would also be worth a call.
I found him by searching ebay for ‘Suzuki Powerhead’. Can’t access ebay at the moment to confirm his name, but he has a thick red band across his listings, and his phone number is listed if you click on ‘Contact details’ under the description.

Nasher.

Thanks very much Nasher and Ribshop,

Nasher I am going on ebay when I get home.

Ribshop, if you have got a set that are manual choke and from the later Grey outboard that will fit I will have them because I want to fit this engine and get some use out of it.

Many Thanks Guys

Nasher,
Went on ebay and saw the chap you mentioned. His name is Mike and I know him, he is storing the Yamaha for me and has been looking for carbs for it for some time and has so far been unsuccessful.

So if anyone has any give me a shout as I am after some.

Thanks again Nasher

Hi Again,

Firstly sorry to Gibbo for not sending through the pictures but I have had so much trouble with my PC that it has now been slung and a brand spanker put in its place,,hopefully that will be the end of the problems.

Anyhow these are the carbs I require. The are Keihin and for a late 90's onwards (grey, not blue) 50hp Yamaha with a manual choke.

Any help would be FANTASTIC as I have an engine that has been rebuilt but has no carbs.

Howy,

No worries.

On comparing my carbs with the photos, i don't think they are what you are after (off a blue engine)?

Sorry mate and good luck with your search.
