Yahama Engine Model

My friend and I have recently purchased a Yahama 50HP Autolube outboard engine, but however can not find a service manual.
From all the info I can locate on the cowling and the engine casing
all I can find is a tally that says its a 50DE0 6H5 L, then 6 digits which I take to be a serial number.
Does anyone know what year this is for ease of searching for a manual online. Have googled for info, but can not find anything that relates to this engine

Use the above to find it's age but first you need the identity letter - this is stamped in the bottom right hand corner of the serial plate. That L you have spotted just relates it to being a Long Shaft model.

Thanks, but which letter do I use for the year? is it the D, the H between the numbers? As far I am aware from knowing the owners of this engine, it was a 90's model. Is there anywhere online I can find the required service manual? As my friend and I are trying to keep costs down to a minimum, so looking to do maintainance myself, As am already a marine engineer in the RN, and have done an outboard maintaining course

no - in the corner of that plate/sticker there is another letter (mine is barely visible). A single letter on its own in the corner. That is the year code. You can't get an exact age from the model number above.
