which paint for outboard?

I'm currently re-painting my Tohatsu 95 mod 30 2 stroke.

Currently i have put down 4 coats of etch primer, and 4 coats of rust guard enamel. The paint has stuck superbly in 9/10 area's, just a bit of sanding back and another coats should sort those few little areas.

Now i'm far from the world's greatest painter, which leads my to my question.
Grey, or black? Which colour conceals small imperfections better?

I know my exp in automotive detailing that once painted, black is the most difficult to maintain, but, what's it like when applying the paint itself?

I'm not fussed grey or black, as the newer Tohatsu's are black anyways, and i'm more likely to get my hands on a newer decal kit as apsoed to a mid 90's one if i went that way.

Any input appreciated
