Well, after spending the day at the Boat Show, I'm now the owner of a shiny new Honda BF50 to go with the shiny new RIB.

Thanks all for your input and advice.

Hi Peter

Not sure the dealer (nor Honda) would thank me for advertising the price I negotiated. Suffice to say, it was considerably less than I'd been quoted ahead of the show. In fairness, Suzuki also bent over backwards to win the order, but I chose the Honda on the basis of it being marginally (6kg) lighter, the extra year on the warranty, and the price differential of about 300 against the Suzi.

Did you also manage to give Sunseeker a good price wrench when ordering the motor yacht to go with the tender?

No, going back at the weekend with Mrs NSS to do that deal. She drives a much harder bargain than I do

Good one...nice set up for some relatively cheap fun....I'm quite relieved you didn't end up with an etec on such a refined little rib...

Well done - some pics of the finished article, rigged & ready to go would be good.

Yep, will post some pics once I have it. Hoping that will be within the next two weeks, and with luck in time to get to get some use before winter sets in!
