I would think that all 3 engines are great

I would go fore the 175 suz because it's 4 stroke, but then again i really love more power.

Can't you find a boat like yours, with around 175 on the back and take it out for a spin.

Put some weight in it, to see if you will have enough power.

No matter what you choose I do belive you will end up loving it.

Rene

Mr Jardon.

You and me both know that if you go for the 175 you'll want to change it for a 200 within a few months.

Opti's have a kind of delicate perfumed eastern odour. Sort of vanilla meets musky Shanghai bordello. It's both memorable and unique.

Bugger, gonna fire mine up now and have a sniff.

I'm gone...
Yeah it is a great smell - I love the smell of burning wallets in the morning....

You're on mate. Anyway, I reckon that you need a break from this engine nonsense. Stare at this graphic for at least a minute and I swear you'll see the ocean - then - relax.

The "cow Sh*t" reference was regarding my boats current home rather than my opinion of Optis. . Anyway Chris, as you're abit of a speed freak, rather than all these Etec/Opti debates. Why not consider an XR2/2.4 Bridgeport option. Similar weight, a little more power.

still need me reliability and economy!!!!! a decision is getting close, tuesday i was getting an etec, wednesday it was suzuki and today it is opti...not sure what tomorrow will bring....

by the way keith love the pic, i did notice a little blemish on the skin or was it something on my screen....not sure

so much hype and twaddle out there makes it difficult to compare, plus everyone has their favorites.

i am getting some good deals and pricing so not sure i need to wait till the london show but who knows, would rather make a decision now and move on. then i can start worrying over which anchor to buy, what colour rope ha ha
