Well Captain Cod Fish the fact you think that Rogue Wave has changed his user name just to slight you basically shows your complete inept grasp of anything and everything...
If you got your head out of your arse and looked at our profiles.. you might know that their is a distinct difference.. kinda like when you compare two spark plugs their is a distinct difference!!
NGK spark plugs are wonderful and champion spark plugs are not. Rogue Wave and I both understand that the aim of any boat trip is to return home and having used Champion and not returned but then using NGK and have done then maybe talking crap about cars on a boating website is just plan daft..
My car does not get it's wheels wet near a slipway let alone spend 340 days out on the water per year having it's spark plugs attacked by corrosion...
Oh yes just so you understand I am not making a personal attack on your ignorance, just try not to pass your ignorance off as "actual" knowledge...

So talking about car engines has no place here? And what are most modern boat engines based on???????

I have worked on a massive range of engines - from cox baby bees at 0.49 ci to Merlins and Bristol Centarus radial engines with all sorts in between - including a few gas turbines - I have my own workshop where I can mill or turn most parts and even cut gears if I wish.

I admit I do not have as much boating experience as many here and have never said anything different.

Why the attitudes people????

Anyway enough of this crap - life is too short!

So you've not worked on everything then, a cox pee wee 0.020 is smaller, and the tee dee 0.010 the smallest production engine in the world.

Hey Hightower, what's wrong with Johnson?! Dad has one on his sailing boat, it works every time, that's why he wont let me touch it!

I think this is all getting a bit personal!
A quote from Tue who should know his stuff,

So it is not only Mr Cod who is saying that some engines like certain plugs!
I have a Johnson which likes Champions, I had it serviced last year & the mechanic said they where just fine & did not knead changing! I changed them this year but kept the old ones as they looked all OK so now I have a set of spars that I know work!

Wouldn't mind though - just love nice engines of all descriptions - from steam to gas turbine - what I don't like are all the bits they stick on them - Sir Frank Whittle once said that the best thing about the gas turbine was it's sheer simplicity - Rolls Royce turned round and said - "don't worry that will soon change" - how right they were!!!
