you can put an 100 amp littlefuse near the battery

you can put an 150 or 100 amp littlefuse near the battery
this wil protect your main wires
they will cost about 8 euro with the fuse holder

9 of the 10 boats don`t have a main fuse
you don`t realy need him but what happens when the + cable on the engine got loose or when the isolation of the wire come off

good luck menno

If all you are doing is installing the engine I would have a go yourself first before calling someone in -its not that complicated. Its only when you start wiring in 1500 worth of colour chart plotter I would get worried. When I put my engine back on the boat after taking it off for some hull work when i reinstalled it I wired it back up almost by trial and error! First time I tried it, when I turned the igntion on the bilge pump light came on!
