I have a Yam 80 and happened upon this site.

http://www.boat-props.com/propellers...oard/All/All/R

http://www.props.net/

It's all American but there's also quite a good prob forum at this site too: http://www.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ul...ubb=forum;f=30

Hope this helps.

Barry, our dive club has Yam 85 premix on a humber 5.5m rib. Vintage 1990 we think. Despite 10 years of abuse in a dive school before we got our hands on her she still runs very well. Prop is 15" (I know it used to be mine) and with 4 divers is about 22 knots and something like 5 gals an hour cruising.

You might be able to use a 17" inch prop or even the 18" S/S merc prop. Oh by the way Aluminum Yam props are 16 and 18" mercurys are 15, 17 and 19 etc with S/S in even sizes. Since Merury props are about half the price of Yamaha everyone buys the adaptor ring (£50) and then fits merc props. Do get a rev counter to work out the proper pitch you require though.

Great engines and very reliable.

Pete

Is the rev counter reading correctly ? speed sounds good prop size okay just the revs a little low. might be worth checking with a strobe light at some point.
