Welding

Please does anyone know if you can weld the metal on the clamp of the evinrude 4.5 is it just alloy? or does it need a special weld ?

Yes, you can get it welded, look on the internet for alloy welding near to you, something will come up,hope that helps.

If you have a welders near you, take it to them & they will tell you if they can do it or not, if they can,t do it ,they might tell you where you can get it done

Alternatively for the cost of a spare of a dead engine could you be cheaper & easier replacing it?
