Volvo QL Boattrim ?

I am considering mounting Lenco boattrims on my new Scorpion 9,75 with inboard Volvo D6 diesel. However Volvo are now making a lot of noise for their new QL Boattrim system. Do any of you have experience with either system? What would you do in my position ?

I have a set of the QL tabs - not fitted yet though. Read some good tests on them - similar systems used on fast cat ferries and patrol boats.

Looks very easy to install and less to get damage if you dry out or come off big waves. Prices are also a lot better.

QL Volvo Trim Tabs

Hello. In a very quick statement, I have tried all the general trim systems including Bennetts. I cannot critise any as they all do generally, a good job for tabs and their design.
Now the QL Interseptors by Volvo. I am currently running them and as cautious as I must be with a new system, these are my findings. They appear to be extremely efficient. They are very, very responsive even more so than any other system I have used over the years. They are easily fitted and require no maintainance. As a recommendation I would fully support them as possibly the best I have ever operated.
Would you please let me know how you get on with your Volvo D6, as much info as you can please? I hope this info is of use to you?

High quality RIBs from Norway - prices typically about £100,000 - speeds up to about 80kts.

Thanks for your comments on the QL system. I wont have more info until early next year when I will take delivery of my new rib. At that time I will be happy to let you know how I am getting along.
