Yeah okay, I think thats been a little pedantic, but to be absolutely clear.

The steering is electronic so there is no need for the large hydraulic resevoir behind the wheel, only a elctronic sender unit.

verrados biggest problem other than weight is its price, howvere got etec prices today and nearly fell over


200hp 11799-12099
225hp 12649-14450
250hp 14188-15068

q is will all that lack of servicing pay for itself, and what do they mean about it dont need winterising

verrado has power steering in built but is a porker.

very comparible

Here's a video clip of the Etec Vs Verado Vs HPDI. Only thing I will say is that it is an Etec H.O. 225 Vs a Verado 225. Does the H.O. not have 250hp??

Yes, the H.O. has 250 HP. The yamaha VMax 225 HPDI has also 250 HP if i'm not mistaken.

Test was a bit unfair then I'm guessing!! Bet the H.O. was rigged higher for more speed too as it has low water pick-ups, is this correct??

they don't give lot's of details on the evinrude web-site. but i guess you are right. Does a vMax has a low water pickup?
