Verado's

I have always said 2 stroke instead of 4 stroke. But after been playing with the Verado for the last 2 mounth and 108 hours on water. I most say they realy do the job. I have 2 x 250 on a 9m RIB and are doing with 2 people in 64,7 kn/120,3 km. and with 14 people in between 53-57kn depending on weather. The silents of the engine when on water for the whole day

They use more fuel than the E-tec but no 2 stroke olie. end of day a little more expencive to ride, but i'm willing to pay that for the silents.

Found this on internet, anybody has an explanation, i thought it was the same all over the world.

1 nautic mile = 1 852 meter
1 nautic mile in Great Brittain = 1 853,2 meter

64,7kn X 1,852 = 119,8244 km/h
64,7kn X 1,853,2 = 119,90204 km/h

Hm, the boats are faster in the UK

Hm, the boats are faster in the UK

I have 2 garmin 192 one set on km/h. and one on kn/h. I most amit that I'm not looking down on them when sailing. I only read the max speed on them both after.

Petrov I have a small program call Tspeed it do matix on speed and slip of the props if you want I send it to you.

Hi, Actionboat! Is it so that you got new E-tech this year and already exchanged them for Verados, that was pretty fast. The Rude-dealer in our hometown, named Titek a/s, had taken out a 250 e-tech to use on his Zodiac 7.3m. The e-tech broke down after 3 months. He got a new motor for free right away! This could not have happened with your engine(s)?
Any problems with the much higher weight on the Verados vs e-tech? What propeller do you use to get this enormous speed?

The E-tec I was using was test engines. But the Danish Evinrude did not want to suport me anymore. So I stop with evinrude. I try the Verado and like the eletronic gauge/trottle/steering. So now I'm working on towards having 3 boats with Verado's on. ( I'm selling the Scorpion )

The about 50kg pr/engine is not something that I see as big problem.
The boat is not fully trim so I recon that I can get maybe 1½-2kn more out of them. I'm working on costum the legs of the engine.
For the speed I use hydromotiv prop's (When working use revolution4)

You keep on making me qurious! What ribs are you bying this time? It is always intersting to know what kind of rib a person with a lot of experence in though ribbing likes.
We do also have some ribs by no, and not every rib is as good as they should be. Right now we are putting together a new 29 Revenger. A similar boat has survived hard use for several years on the coast of Norway, so we are willing to bet our hard earned money on that one with twin Suzuki 250.

Scorpion are the best boat in my opinion. Have own alot of boats. (Hallmatic/zodiac/tonado/wedoo/scorp/+) And I was not imprest. after 2 year with the Hallmatic the stringer broke down. hallmitic just said you used it wrong?? The scorp is the first boat that have been living up to my demands.

I'm trying/testing a 9m x 2,5m because we have a special role for charterboat. so long and narow. I wold buy a scorp if I can get it only hull and tupe and then fit our self. but that not the case..
I just want my rib's to be the same when I do charter, that why selling
