upgrade 150 to 175 optimax

hi just seen old thread about an up grade from 150/to175 just wondering if enyone had done this just by changing the ecu or chip and if so did it run alright after thanks

I'm led to believe the only difference is the ecu, but from memory they are 4 figures plus! We were looking at two boats one with 150 one with 175. Evidently it is easy for a workshop to change but would invalidate a warranty.

PM iansharlot on here and he'll be more than helpful. He always has been with us.

thanks i know ian i will ask him i have no warrenty enyway so would make no ods to me so might see if i can get a ecu from usa always cheaper over there
