can anyone advise on best oil mix for mariner 30hp 2005 engine in v/g condition

if it is not oil injected? 50:1 should be fine

Ring EP Barrus or speak to Turbodiesel on here and they will tell you the exact ratio.
The same engine can run different ratios depending on the grade of oil.

50:1 - don't beleive claims of 100:1 - it's to meet environmental standards.

Well, Mariner will say 100:1 which is fine for leisure use so if your not putting 400hrs plus a year then you will be just fine with 100:1.
However!!.... We do usually recommend 50:1 for commercial use as they do alot more hours.
Its really upto you, It will be fine on 100:1, just depends how much you use it.
We would always only recommend using TCW3 grade oil.
