trim tilt problem

just got suzuki df 140 out of workshop and ptt seems to have packed up,motor runs fine ,solenoid cliks,but no movement of ram, any thought any one.

Obvious thought would be PTT oil level. Have you checked this?

but would it not still trim down if oil was low ?

will trim up till out of oil but wont trim down

It is not a solenoid but a relay and it is probably stuck or has bad contacts.
Replace.

Maybe test the motor etc by connecting it straight up to a 12v supply

Before you try anything else has the manual overide screw on the side of the transom saddle been slackened off?

sorry, the motor that runs pump does not seem to cut in
