Tohatsu tldi

Hi
I have a 2006 tohatsu 90 tldi I have recently serviced the engine and replaced the impeller now the boat is back in the water when I run the engine it has a good jet of water out of the pee hole but it is also coming out of the hole above I have included a photo of the area is this ok or do I need to get it looked atClick image for larger version

Hello I am sure that my old Tohatsu 70c used to trickle water out of that outlet too as well as the tell tale, silly question but did it do it before, I think you many not have noticed it.
Great engine by the way, I loved our Tohatsu, never missed a beat in 9 years.

Is it an exhaust relief port for when the engine is on tickover and doesn't generate enough pressure to push gas out the prop? I believe exhausts are often water cooled, so would explain it.
