does anyone have some experience on tohatsu 50-60hp?
2 or 4strke

They are badged as Nissan in many countries. They are supposed to be very good engines - the 50hp 2 stroke is used in zapcat racing and the tldi engines are as efficient as a 4 stroke.

A friend of mine has the carbureted 50, very simple to service. Lots of grunt for a 50 IMHO on a Bombard DB500 but economically-wise it's not so good unless you got it for peanuts like (quite) all carbed 2 strokes. When cruising together at 25 knots he's wasting more gas than I do with the 90 TLDI.
