The Bells, The Bells !!!!

Hi,

Took the old girl out yesterday (Rib I mean !) got a bin liner around the prop (Mariner 50) the alarm in the throttle contol went off. Exauast gas started to come out the tell tale.

Just out of interest what set the alarm off, was it the restricted exaust, lack of water to the cooling system or what ?

You might want to do a compression check on it for your own peace of mind after that. It's worth knowing if you've got minor bore damage from an overheat. A hone is a damn sight cheaper than a rebore.
