Interesting debate this. Members of this forum are, by definition, more interested in their boats and engines than the average punter so we probably ought to remember that unlike us alot of Etec purchasers won't actually know what an impellor is, nor an anode for that matter. I wonder how this sector of the market will cope when they find they should have checked certain things every year regardless of the 'service' regime.

The service section in the manual has a table showing what needs to be checked. So if they don't feel comfortable doing this themselves they can get a service centre to give the engine a once over...
