teflon tape

The fuel filter i have just bought says to use teflon tape to seal the threads.. is this the same stuff as good ol' ptfe tape? if not, could i still use the ptfe tape i have lying around?

tcwozere try dipping ptfe tape into some petrol and see if it dissolves, then your'll have your answer !!

yep you can cos it is the same stuff Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene is the proper name and as long as you can find the INITials in the name that's good enough for me!

With petrol the price it is, be cheaper to buy a box of teflon tape..
