suzuki dt100 1998/9 throttle controls

We have acquired very nice condition Suzuki DT100 (serial 10001-901062) with very low running hours on it and plan to install this on our 7m Rib.

We are buyng new throttle controls and cables and are looking at the Teleflex CH1750P side mount lever set (to be mounted on the starboard side of the console, but not sure which cables we need for this engine, connectors at the carbs look a little strange compared to the mercury we had before - can anyone advise?

I really need to get his sorted quickly as this is our main safety boat!

Thanks

Nice motor

You can use the standard Soozook 33c cables with that control box, but it doesn't have PTT switch, so you may need to consider an alternative. Personally, I'd go for a Yam or Soozook branded side-recessed control box, as it would be more comfortable to use than the Teleflex unit, which is designed for right handed use on a RHD sportsboat, if you know what I mean?

Ah, we hadn't realised it was a sport boat control, we've only just started looking. We don't need PTT on the throttle as we prefer that to be on the console itself. We are looking for the following features:

Side flush mount on starbaord side of console, cables concealed inside console. Need to have a neutral lock and anti in gear starter lock features. integrated kill switch is nice but not essential as we can use a seperate console kill switch.

Budget is tight as we are a charity with very low income.

any reommendations gratefully received.

The Yam 705 from Ron Hale seems to fit the bill nicely. Apart from the kill switch, it has everything you're looking for.
