Suzuki DF9.9 outboard 3 blade or 4 blade prop?

I've decided to get a second prop for my Suzuki DF9.9 4 stroke outboard, partly to get 'better' performance in my Avon S250 SIB when fully loaded, partly cos I dinked the prop when exploring last week and I might not be travelling as slowly next time .

The current 9.25 x 9 x 3 blade works well with 2 people on board. I e-mailed Steel Developments and they suggested with 4 people on board either:

9.25 x 9 x 4 blade or
9.25 x 8 x 3 blade

I was going to try and call them tomorrow to discuss, in the mean time does anyone have any thoughts?

Also can anyone confirm that it is a 10 spline shaft? I probably won't get the chance to check until tomorrow night.

Cheers

Chris
