Had a quote from ribquest first service for the 25hp 247.53
That works out 2500.00 for five years warranty diy probably 500.00 assuming cost doesn't rise except for changing the timing belt at four years.

Is that for the 20 hour first service after run in or an annual 100hr service?

Now I don't have it in writing but the dealer gave me the guideline price for a 20hr service at around 45 and a yearly aroumnd 100. Perhaps plus parts... didn't ask that??

If they turned out to want 250 a year for servicing my 20hp frankly I'd seriously consider "self insuring" the warranty period doing my own servicing. Perhaps pay for the 20hr and first yearly which would give me cover on any faults for the first 2yrs then go DIY after that.

Dave 20 first service oil change! An annual will be more I think as the impeller should be changed more hours.
Fenlander thinking the same to be honest. There's central marine services at Ilkeston I will contact they seemed a bit more value for money last I spoke.

I was charged 90 for the 20hr service & quoted 120-150 for an annual. 247 sound steep, which is disappointing because Skua/Ribquest are my nearest dealers & I was looking to use them.

Ditto... But then I have the same supplier... Good to know they're quoting the same for both Honda / Suzuki servicing...
