Suzuki DF175 Service

Hi there.

My Suzuki DF175 is just coming up to 500 hours on the clock. Up to now I have just been changing the engine and gear oil myself every season. Does anyone have any experience of this engine? What should I be replacing for its 500 hour service? Anything I should be looking out for? I did a bit of Googling but could not get any definite answers.

Thanks.

Mike

I'm sure others more qualified people will chip in but I would change the impeller, oil and fuel filters, plugs and drain washers. I'm pretty sure you can buy a complete service kit.

I'd take some professional advice for sure...that is a pretty low hour engine, and you don't want to compromise it!
I'd pay particular attention to re-newing ALL the Anodes that need replacing too...some of which may not be obvious
Hopfully you've been doing that already in the schedule.

Probably referring to the head anodes, which poke into the water jacket between the cylinders, in case you didn't already know.

I'd have it professionally serviced. My 140 suzuki was serviced and winterised at the end of last season for £266. They will also hook it up to a computer and give you a printout of any faults.
