Suzuki DF175

Dear Knowledge base,

I've just sold my Hona 225 due tp too much weight and to short shaft. I'm looking to buy av Zuki 175 instead. Any hand-on experiences amog you all? Look-out or worries? Better buys?

The boat is an Osprey Viper 6,25

Yours in ribbing,
Matt

I have just ordered a new Ribcraft 6.5m with a 4-stroke Suzuki 175. I did a reasonable amount of reasearch on it, and it was all positive.

I reacently tried the 150, which was a fantastic engine, where the 175 is the same but has Variable Valve Timing to give it the extra umf! Benefit of the same engine is that its the same weight!

The guy who used to service my Yamaha reckons the Suzuki's are now as good as the Yamaha. (but cheaper)

Hope of some use!

I understand that. Its better than I got last week on my Ribcraft 585 and 140 Suzuki. Although I did a little towing for a couple of miles most of my trip was at about 4200 revs with only a couple of miles at WOT.
