They literally destroyed my engine that went in for a service. Rang me on the Thursday morning to find out if I had the timing cover then called again later in the day to say it had gone bang.
Charged me £480 for the service and wouldn't let me have my boat back unless the bill was paid first. Contacted trading standards etc but had no choice if I wanted to get my boat back I had to pay.
Got my engine back in a number of boxes. By co-incidence sold the bits recently for £150 on eBay.
In my opinion a very crooked dealer and I wouldn't risk using them although they did have a good mechanic who went freelance/mobile called Steve.

Caveat Emptor imho.

Cheers Jeff. Yeah, Ribquest have shut up shop & they were my local dealer🙄. I need to get some recall work done on the engine, unless I can find a good "local" dealer it looks like a trip to Yeovil.

Cheers Jeff, but I need a bona fide dealer. It's a recall on the engine to change the ECU, also I need it serviced by Suzuki for the next 4 years to keep the warranty. I might give Suzuki HQ a call tomorrow, but if past experience is owt to go by I won't get far, they're hopeless 🙄

Don't want to say too much on the forum but I will not use them again! I'm going to "self-insure" the warranty period... offset by the massive saving of DIY services.

I like the Yukon analogy.
I use Clyde Outboards at Port Glasgow for ALL my outboard work. A round trip of just over 400 miles but l consider it worth the effort.
Cameron and Aaron do great work at reasonable rates and aren't bull$hit merchants.
Can't fault them & given the shocking service I had from pennine marine personally wouldn't risk my gear to anybody else.
