Suzuki 175 Oil light

Any one had a flashing oil light on a Suzuki 175 when there was nothing wrong with oil/level etc?

This following a lot of spray getting sucked into engine cowl and drying out forming salt.

Check the connectors on the oil pressure sensor. Give 'em a clean and a squirt of GT85.

It's not your service warning indicator is it. I can't remember which lamp flashes but after 100 engine hrs it flashes and beeps at you. Took me by surprise the first time it happened and I though there was something wrong with the engine til I read the manual.

Sorted

Yes Erin, it is the 100 hours service light, I would have thought they'd make the "check engine" light flash. Next problem is to remove the excess oil put in "just in case"

My Suzi 175 flashed at 20hrs, just like you I worried myself silly being 5 miles from Portland.Rang Charlie at Ribcraft who confirmed it was the service indicator.
What a relief !

Lesson learned all round I think.

Do Ribcraft provide owners with manuals for their outboards?

Ribcraft supply manuals(if applicable) together with any other paperwork for all items which they fit,all packed in a very nice briefcase too !
Even a pressure gauge for checking tube inflation.

Very nice.

Do they also provide a key for the lock on the briefcase?
