Sternpower Outdrive

Hi All! Anyone out there know anything about a Sternpower Outdrive. I have never come across them and am wondering if there is an agent in the UK for parts and are they expensive.

Hi and welcome to Ribnet. New Sternpowr Drive, hmm about 6k if you can find one. However the good news is they seem to go on for ever. Parts are available from Lancing Marine who are very helpful. Alternatively you could try Folly Ribs in Devon or JBT had some a while back, not sure what they have left.

Hi Pete! Many thanks for your reply, and welcome. There is a boat for sale it has one of these Legs and I was a bit wary, but your reply was just what I needed. Thanks again N.

Be wary of the hydraulic trim rams if you go to look at it. They suffer from saltwater corrosion and leak if they are immersed for any great length of time. I had to replace mine and they are expensive... about £600 each form Lancing

Petes right they are built well but used when not maintained you would be wise to be warry and as said earlier parts are a fortune.Try and get some to go with you or even better spend the money for a survey if you have doubts it may cost you 200 pounds but well spent
