Starter Motor Bits ,replace

I Have a starter motor that has fallen a part on me, it turns well, but the retainer for the bendix has broken up. Found the spring and c clip but there is some kind of bearing on the end only got half of this, it must have broken up.
Tried to rebuild using a washer i machined and pressed on plus circlip in grove but just flew off, the bearing i think turns separately on the shaft against the bendix spring.
Need a replacement kit to hold bendix in place or cheap new ,second hand, start motor, strugling to find at moment, any surgestons please

It'll probably be easier to find a pull start and the right top cowl than to buy a starter.
