SR4 outboard length.

Hi,

What length shaft should be fitted to a SR4 built in the mid 80's?

Thanks

Phill

Depends if anyone's messed with the transom. Is it flat all the way across? If it is then long (20-21") shaft.

Phill,

How is your SR4 coming along?

Had the Yamaha 50 going for the first time on mine yesterday, started straight away so was well pleased....and sounds so nice!

Fitting the steering and control cables today and should be out on her pretty soon.

I am thinking of calling her "Mental Psycho Bitch" after my ex girlfriend...lol.

Take care.

You wait til you hit WOT...it'll seem very fitting.
Mine was called Psychosis for just that reason

The feeling of going full pelt in a SR4 is mental Can scare the channel 5 out of ya! Not been able to get that feeling in the 5.4 which is a bloody shame!

Yip agreed - nothing quite like it. Especially when it starts chine-walking :-)

Looks like I'll be having fun with the 60hp Mercury then.

Projects been coming on ok, been busy with Lifeboat this weekend.
Am hoping to fit the locker tomorrow....

Gibbo if you search for "Chewy's SR4 project" a thread should appear, I'm trying to keep it upto date.

Mines now called Bright Side for obvious reasons.
