Fair enough! I got a different impression from a Yanmar dealer a couple of years ago but I must have spoken to the workshop idiot on the phone.

There will be a 25hp 4 stroke, Mercury/Mariner Solas approved very soon. The reason why they have started with that engine is because part of the approval says the engine must have 2 forms of starting. So Rope start and electric, or i guess rope start and emergency rope start where the flywheel has slots cut into it so you can put a rope around the flywheel to start it.
