Small outboard jack

Does anyone know if a product similar to Jack Plate JPL 4400 Adjustable 4'' Outboard Jackplate | eBay is available in the UK?

That one looks perfect but the postage costs are a bit depressing and it would be nice to source one from the UK.

I have been having issues with water flying up the side of my outboard (see http://www.rib.net/forum/f50/water-g...ard-45047.html for full story!) and want to jack up the outboard a bit more as I have a new propeller that has TOTALLY cured any sign of ventilation.

As an aside, the Yamaha 30D is deemed to be a short shaft engine but I measured it last weekend and the shaft is around 17.5" if I am measuring it properly (from top of transom to cavitation plate). Are there engines that are actually 15"?

I am still really tempted to get a 50 on the back as the speed is addictive and it is starting to feel frustrating when there is more than just me on board as you can really feel a drop in speed, but need to sort out the height issue first and think that a jack plate would be a good way of testing different heights without having to drill more holes in the transom.

Any wisdom gratefully received.

Thanks,
Joe
