RPM Gauge at 600 - on driveway

Hey, again!

Just realised I have another question after posting my first...

The in dash RPM dial is sitting on about 600... despite the boat being in my driveway, fast asleep...

The dial works fine (i.e. it moves), when the engine is running...

Any ideas why it thinks its not on zero?!

Cheers

its normal

The gauge is showing the position it was at when you turned the power off. If you you turn the ignition on and off (but don't start the engine) it will drop to zero.

No its a question that comes up here at least once a year - and not always from new folks!
