As mentioned liquid metal is an excellent product, I've even used this filler to reform small inch size sections on anti cavitation plates, upto 5hp size, However I've had great trouble trying to find the original product,
It shouldn't affect performance if left anyway as mentioned, Although it's worth a small lic of paint applied with one of them small kiddies paint brushes.

Epoxy. You can tint the epoxy with a coloring agent if you want it to match, then you need not worry about paint. A plastics shop should be able to help you out on both counts.

As someone mentioned, it's not a structural piece, so no worries about stresses.
