Remote safety lever

Trying to find a replacement red safety lever as this one is worn on one of the edges, ordered and purchased one that is an incorrect part as the dealer though it was the correct part from pictures of remote I sent him.
Have looked on the Internet for reference and cannot find remote with handle that looks correct. It's off a mercury 50 2 stroke year 2000 presumably the remote is Mercury or quicksilver anew d the wiring is correct.
Can anyone give me a part number or supplier that will help.
Also have a tohatsu 3.5 2 stroke that's needing a water pump housing top gasket as I pulled it apart to change impeller and wrecked gasket in process, the current shop has taken about 2 months so far and it still hasn't arrived, how long does it take to obtain these parts??

Cheers

Probably best to post pics so we can see what you've got.

Why not take the handle in the picture with you to your nearest merc/mar dealer and he will see there is not many different control boxes it its a merc/mar control box. to find your nearest dealer look on the internet , or as my boss (wife) says " google it dear". I would also take a picture of the other part of the control box, and the handle in the picture. Just to be on the safe side, and save the buggering about.

I have googled mercury remotes and there are some that look similar but not exact, only managed to get it apart recently with seized bolts so that will be my next step, just wondered if it was obvious to someone what model it was. The main body looks the same as other mercury remotes just the handle looks different mainly the centre boss where it fits to main body from what I can tell in pictures on line

More pics of the rest of the box & cover - if any - of the bottom of the lever please.
Possibly an old style? Sure it's a Mercury/Quicksilver item?

it looks like a bog standard r/c as used on the 2/str and early 4/str, i dont know if that box is still used but there will be plenty of spares about. I don't understand why the problem with the red safety handle. When I used to work I changed a lot of them handles for various reasons.

That's a standard Mercury box but somebody has fitted a suzuki handle from mid 90's to it. All similar but you need a Suzuki part.

Sorted it now, new remote cables purchased as it's apart there's no point in doing half a job, just need the buzzer for remote to turn up and I can put it all back together
